Junior/Assistant Estimator looking to advance - Commercial Steel EXP

Location: Tunbridge Wells, with travel to project sites across the UK. Overnight stays in hotels may be required.

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Manage quantity surveying duties for steel frame building projects, leveraging construction expertise.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure projects meet timelines and budget targets.
• Produce precise estimates, perform take-offs, and create bills of costs.
• Interpret drawings effectively to support project planning and execution.
• Efficiently manage subcontractor packages to meet compliance and quality standards.
• Mentor junior team members, contributing to their professional growth.
• Demonstrate flexibility with on-site work at various locations.

Requirements:

• Essential: Strong construction knowledge, especially in steel frame buildings.
• Desirable: Previous experience in estimating and take-offs.
• Ability to interpret drawings accurately.
• Familiarity with subcontractor package management.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight as needed.
