A theatre practitioner in the UK is responsible for providing a safe, cost-effective, and efficient care environment for patients, relatives, and carers. They work as part of a team and are expected to function clinically within the Operating Department and other associated areas as required. They participate in the training of junior staff and continue their own personal and professional development by rotating within the perioperative department. The post holder carries out a full range of registered health care professional duties, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient's condition and care with support from the Practitioner in charge. They maintain the privacy and dignity of all patients while adhering to trust and department policies, reporting any difficulties with these duties to senior staff.This is a JR100253 Theatre Practitioner role at 37.50 hours a week with flexible shift patterns between Monday and Saturday. Salary is up to £30897.50 plus benefits (depending on level of experience, training, and qualification).What you'll need to succeed

  • Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration
  • 12-months experience in a theatre setting is desirable
