Can you collaborate with parents and guardians to support student's physical education and overall well being?

Do you hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) for secondary school or an equivalent teaching certification required for this position?

Can you teach fundamental movement skills, team sports, and fitness activities to help students develop strength and endurance?

In this role, you will be designing and delivering engaging physical education lessons that inspire students to lead active and healthy lifestyles. You will create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel motivated and encouraged to participate in a variety of physical activities.

We're seeking a passionate and dynamic educator to become part of our team in Blackburn, providing invaluable support to students in Key Stages 3 and 4. The daily compensation for this position ranges from £155 to £230, reflecting your experience, qualifications, and teaching expertise. Join us in making a difference in the lives of our students!

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive PE curriculum in alignment with educational standards
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Teach classes allocated and provide a well planned challenging, purposeful learning environment
  • Develop approach to self - directed learning, use technology to support learning
  • Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
  • Organise and monitor extracurricular sports activities and events
  • Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
  • Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
  • Respond to questioning

  • Managing behaviour of pupils whilst undertaking work to ensure a constructive environment
  • Strong classroom management
  • Motivated and enthusiastic demeanour
  • Be an inspiring and engaging communicator
  • Use imagination and innovation to enhance learning experience

Personal attributes:

  • You will have a genuine passion for teaching
  • Experience up to key stage 3 and 4
  • QTS/PGCE equivalent
  • Be flexible and committed
