IT Support Technician
Role: IT Support Technician
Location: Bamber Bridge, Lancashire
Salary: £23,000 - £27,000
We are currently looking to recruit an IT Support Technician for a well-established Managed Service Provider based in Central Lancashire. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing on site and remote technical support to clients as well as being the first point of contact.
Responsibilities:
- Responding to queries either in person or remotely
- Diagnosing and solving technical issues including network connectivity, software and hardware
- Manage service requests, through the ticketing system adhering to SLA's
- Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications
- Administration tasks using Active Directory, Azure and exchange.
- Manage and monitor email security filtering
- Maintain and adhere to documentation and knowledge based articles
- Prioritising and managing many open cases at one time
Knowledge required of most technical skills below:
- Office 365 and applications
- Virtual Servers - VMware / Hyper-V / Citrix
- Backups / recovery systems / Antivirus solutions
- Knowledge of basic networking including understanding of WAN/LAN DNS, DHCP
- Cyber Security Knowledge/awareness
- Storage Solutions
- Cloud technologies including Azure or AWS
