IT Support Engineer Preston - From £25,000 - £28,000

Principal IT are working with a rapidly growing business based in Preston which are looking to expand due to further recent success. Our client prides themselves in leading the way in IT refurbishment, offering sustainable solutions with top-quality equipment including workstations and rack servers from renowned brands like Dell and HP. They are currently on the lookout for a IT Hardware Technician to join them on a permanent basis. This business has seen rapid growth throughout the 2023 and shows no signs of slowing down in 2024.

To be successful in this role they are looking for someone who can adapt to a variety of challenges, your responsibilities within this role will include working alongside there testing team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. • Build and test high-end IT equipment, including workstations, switches, and rack servers.
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and quality checks on components.
• Update BIOS and firmware to ensure optimal performance.
• Install and configure computer hardware systems.
• Conduct research on new hardware technologies and update work instructions.

Essential Skills:

• Hands on experience in building computers or servers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to details.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Qualifications or knowledge of IT processes and procedures is advantageous.

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
