THE JOB

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

  • You will support a range of IT systems for Fibrus

  • Supporting with our IT assets the area of licences, configurations, reports, monitoring, security policies and tracking

  • Assisting with implementing, assessing and reviewing IT security controls

  • Working with 3rd party suppliers to reach support resolutions

  • Troubleshooting end user problems

  • Resolving technical issues and escalating where appropriate

  • This role offers a unique opportunity for a secondment into our Network Operations Centre to support with various 1st Line Networking issues.

  • Identifying faults and engaging with the relevant teams for support.

  • Proactively managing critical alarms.

  • Proactively manage outages, giving continuous feedback to the wider business and our customers.

  • Own and manage tickets for incidents and faults

WHAT WILL YOU BRING?

  • You will be a recent graduate in a Computer Science, ITor other relevant discipline.

  • A solid understanding of IT (hardware and software)

  • A solid understanding of IT security principles and approaches - knowledge of the Telecommunications Security Act is ideal however not essential

  • Ticket and fault management experience coupled with excellent customer care skills

  • A problem solving approach, taking pride in achieving the best mutual outcome for the end user and Fibrus

  • Relevant work experience, this could be from a placement year, is desirable but not essential
