Applause IT are looking for an IT Manager to join a global manufacturing company who are in the process of building their first office in the UK. This role is to be the first UK hire, where the remainder of the team will be built around the successful candidate.

This is a role where the successful candidate will be tasked to help build the organisations IT Infrastructure here in the UK. You will also be responsible for building your team as well as continuous improvement of technology, network and service provision ensuring that the organisation is able to fully operate to its full potential.

Your responsibilities day to day will be…

• Working with business stakeholders to proactively identify new business opportunities and introduce new technologies.
• Overseeing complete network installations and guaranteeing seamless Wi-Fi coverage across the business
• Primary point of contact for addressing any IT-related issues in both office and factory settings, employing problem-solving skills to devise immediate and strategic solutions.
• Taking responsibility for implementing and enforcing the IT Security policy, ensuring its thorough integration and compliance across the organization.
• Facilitating the onboarding process for all employees, including equipment procurement and induction training to ensure proficient operation of IT hardware and software.

What do we expect of you?

• Proficient in Microsoft environment with extensive knowledge and hands-on experience. Skilled in hardware and network management.
• Experienced in operating within a service desk environment.
• Demonstrates a strong passion for IT and is dedicated to continuous development within the field.
• Capable of working independently while also thriving in collaborative team environments with diverse stakeholders.
• Possesses excellent communication skills.
• Proactive and adept at finding solutions to challenges.
