Uniserve invites you to join our dynamic team as a Junior Infrastructure Engineer. 

In this role, you'll be an integral part of a close-knit team of infrastructure engineers, ensuring the seamless operation of our IT systems to uphold our commitment to delivering impeccable services to our clients.

Salary:
Competitive salary of £21,000 per annum - We value your skills and commitment.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Utilise ticketing systems for internal and external infrastructure support.
  • Maintain, configure, and enhance core infrastructure and network technologies, including patching, automation, firmware updates, and backups.
  • Manage core systems for the Uniserve Group, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Conduct regular visits to branch sites across the UK to provide on-site support.
  • Transition into an On-Call Rota to offer essential support to the business outside of regular hours.

What we are looking for: 
Experience and skills:

  • Able to showcase a foundational understanding of relevant subjects.
  • A strong passion for technology and a desire to excel in the field of infrastructure engineering.

Driver, due to the location, not duties: 
Please Note - Being able to drive is preferred but not essential as long as you are within an hour commute. 

Desirable experience:

  • Previous experience in a desktop support role, demonstrating practical knowledge and skills.
  • Professional certifications in Microsoft or Cisco would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with technologies such as Cisco Meraki, Citrix, IGEL Thin Clients, VoIP systems, and Ubiquiti Wi-Fi will be highly beneficial.

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
