Sea Global are delighted to be partnering with a dynamic and innovativetransport company who are making waves in the UK transport sector. They are looking for an experienced Category Manager to join their team as they continue growing and servicing people across the UK.

Reporting into the Senior Category Manager, they are looking for someone who has experience with indirect procurement within a similar environment and will be able to hit the ground running from day one.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic category strategies across the designated IT categories.
  • Build relationships with suppliers, negotiating and ensuring deals align with business objectives.
  • Support and manage multiple projects from cradle to grave, driving strategy and communicating risks with the team & business.
  • Develop and lead procurement process across sourcing and operational procurement processes.

Experience & Requirements

  • Has worked across a range of IT categories such as Hardware, Software, Digital, Telecoms, Professional Services etc.
  • Previous exposure to public contract regulations a bonus but not essential.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating excellent supplier management skills.
  • Can undertake work and projects on their own initiative.
