IT Category Buyer/Category Manager

I am delighted to be supporting a large UK-based organisation with a local head office in Gateshead, who is looking for an interim IT Category Buyer to join them asap.

This role, which will sit within the IT department, will be to manage all the IT contracts that are due for renewal. You will gain insights from the IT department and research potential suppliers, initiating tenders, contract negotiations and work with stakeholders to roll out new contracts. You will be responsible for all aspects of IT buying from hardware to software, ensuring you meet the brief of the IT departments' requirements.

To succeed in this role, you will have previous experience within a Buying/Category Manager role, where you have experience procuring IT software and hardware from initial research and tender through to contract issue. You will have experience dealing with internal and external stakeholders and developing relationships.

This is an interim opportunity for up to 12 months.
