Overview: 
Are you looking to kick-start your career in the IT industry with a market-leading international company?
We are currently looking for an Information Communications Technician (Level 3) Apprentice to join our busy and exciting team based in Knaresborough.

You will primarily be working with the infrastructure as a Service team with multi skilled engineers, with the main goal of achieving 100% availability for the services we provide to our clients, this will involve being involved in multiple maintenance activities, taking on new services, technology upgrades and supporting client requests.

Salary: £16,000 per annum. 

The role / duties: 
You will be working with previous apprentices, and senior members of staff on the following duties: 

  • Security patching
  • All system Outage processes
  • Backup processes
  • VMWare management
  • Acceptance into Service processes
  • Disaster recovery processes
  • Hardware maintenance

What we are looking for: 
Essential: 
In order to be successful within the role, the chosen candidate must be able to demonstrate: 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service ethic
  • Able to maintain a professional and friendly manner
  • A pro-active and enthusiastic team player, capable of working on own initiative
  • Ability and tenacity for effective problem solving
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose common problems quickly providing immediate solutions
  • Ability to work well under pressure

Able to drive, due to the location, not duties: 
Please Note - Being able to drive is preferred but not essential as long as you are within an hour commute. 

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working week: 
Monday - Friday, 
9:00am - 5:00pm.
