The Opportunity

Salary: £41,418 to £44,428 per annum, (£33,582 to £36,022 pro rata).

Working Pattern: Part-time, 30 hours per week, flexible working options available.

Location: County Hall, Chichester or Bridge House, Worthing (Hybrid working).

Interview date: w/c 06 May 2024

You will work with a professional and empowering team of Learning and Development Officers who support staff and customers in developing skills, knowledge, and experience to excel in their roles. This fosters a culture of continuous learning and growth, embodying our values and cultural aspirations.

You will design and deliver learning activities using various methods, such as face-to-face and online webinar training, to ensure that learning objectives are met. As the IT and Systems Trainer, you will support digital training across the organization, including the essential digital skills project and the implementation of new HR and Finance Systems. You will provide telephone and online support to staff through the corporate learning and development helpdesk.

You will also deliver personal development training on topics such as Assertiveness, Customer Service, Recruitment & Interview Training, and Induction. Your role will involve designing and delivering learning solutions based on specifications provided by the Learning and Development or OD Consultant.

What are we looking for?

To be our successful IT and Systems Learning & Development Specialist, you will need:

  • Extensive experience in IT systems and digital subjects to understand initiatives and develop appropriate learning responses.
  • Evidence of at least one year of experience delivering IT systems training to users through a variety of mediums.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Experience of effectively coaching and supervising others.
