Randstad are recruiting for an IRO/Independent Reviewing Officer for Social Workers to join Waltham Forest Council. This permanent role offers a salary rate ranging from £54,129 to £59,328 per annum and also offers flexible working schedules.

Note: There is an additional £2000 retention bonus after passing the six month review period.

Purpose:
To lead, plan, develop and deliver an expert professional service within the Quality Assurance Service.
To support the development, management and delivery of an independent reviewing service to children looked after and their families.
To build and maintain relationships with key partners to improve outcomes for children.
To ensure the Council maximises service outcomes in relation to cost.

Responsibilities:
Management of the children looked after process and quality assurance of care planning and safeguarding of children and young people in care.
Ensure the participation of children, young people, their parents, and carers in relation to statutory child care reviews, and individual decision making as part of the care planning process.
Involve children, young people, their parents, and carers in decision making around service delivery and development.
Effective implementation of quality assurance role.
To provide professional leadership for staff within children's social care.

Requirements:
- Social Work England Registered
- Enhanced DBS
- Accreditation as Social Work Practice Educator or Assessor
- Use of relevant in-service or post qualification training, particularly related to children who are looked after and Information Technology courses.

Experience:
- Working as a IRO in the previous roles
