IP/Patent Litigation Associate

This forward-thinking organization have an exciting opportunity for an Associate specializing in Patent disputes to join their London team.

The successful candidate will be contributing to the continued expansion of the Intellectual Property (IP) practice, particularly within the Tech & Media and Life Sciences sectors.

With a diverse team comprising solicitors, barristers, patent attorneys, and trademark attorneys supported by specialist practice managers and paralegals, the firm serve leading companies across various industries. This is including Technology, Media & Communications, Life Sciences & Healthcare, Automotive, Consumer Products, Energy, and Mechanical Engineering.

About the Role

• The role entails engaging in UK litigation and coordinating multi-jurisdictional disputes worldwide, with appearances before esteemed courts such as the General Court, Court of Appeal, High Court, IP Enterprise Court, and UK Intellectual Property Office (UKIPO).
• Joining the team presents an exciting prospect amidst planned growth, working alongside top-tier associates and partners.

About You

• The firmseek a proficient IP litigator with a keen interest in patent law, although candidates with broader IP litigation expertise are also encouraged to apply.
• Ideal candidates will possess experience in patent litigation, particularly within the technology and/or life sciences sectors.
• While qualifications in electronics, engineering, biology, chemistry, or pharmacology are advantageous, they are not mandatory.
• This role targets individuals with 2-5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
• As the role involves direct client interaction, candidates should demonstrate confidence, sound judgment, strong interpersonal skills, and a proactive approach to assuming responsibilities.
