Investment Operations Team Lead, Family Office

Our client, the in-house investment team of a prominent single-family office, is creating a Team Lead position to mentor and develop a team of two talented investment operations analysts early in their careers.

This family office investments across both public and private markets, providing exposure to most investment type, encompassing equity, fixed income, derivatives, structured products, and Private Capital. As the Team Lead, you will not only manage but you will be responsible for Investment Execution, Cash Management, Performance Reporting, Risk Monitoring, financial reporting, and facilitating Custodian partnerships, among other vital responsibilities.

Reporting to the Head of Investment Operations and collaborating within a wider team of 5 in operations and 6 in the Front Office, this role demands extensive interaction with the investment team. As Team Lead you will assume all non-investment tasks, requiring a flexible, pragmatic, and solutions-oriented approach. Your responsibilities extend across the trade lifecycle management of multi-asset long-term investments, inclusive of investment execution, administration across public & private markets, Risk Monitoring, Performance Reporting, Cash Management, and ensuring Custodial obligations meet SLAs.

Candidates will be highly analytical, equipped with advanced Excel skills, possess programming proficiency (programming skills are not essential), and crucially, possess charismatic leadership qualities. As the role aims to address a gap in technical investment operations knowledge within the team, it is essential that candidates bring technical expertise to the team. In addition, you will also drive project delivery initiatives, ensuring seamless execution and operational efficiencies within investment operations.

This exceptional opportunity is tailored for degree-educated Investment Operations Specialists with a minimum of 5 years investment operations experience covering public markets (Equity, Fixed income, Derivatives etc), private markets experience is a plus, however not essential, coupled with a minimum of 2 years managing teams.
