Harmonic are delighted to be partnering exclusively with one of the fastest growing TV & Film businesses in the UK, in their search for an Investment Analyst.

The Business

Our client is a renowned Media & Entertainment business that is on the way to becoming a household name, their core focus sits within distribution and production. With turnover currently at £100m, they are on course to double this next year with exciting projects, fundraising, and acquisitions. Having just received fundraising, this is a great opportunity to work in a fast-growth scale up in the entertainment industry.

The company operates a hybrid working policy with 3 days expected within their Central London offices, and 2 at home. They also manage to foster a real dynamic culture within the business. This is the ideal role for someone who wants to work in a creative, non-corporate environment that values collaboration, teamwork, and shares a passion for great TV and Film.

The Role:

As the Investment Analyst, you will be responsible for driving the full life-cycle of investment processes. This will include providing analysis and modelling the returns on investment. There will be excellent stakeholder management exposure, including managing relationships with banks and reviewing production budgets and cashflow. There is great autonomy in the role and fantastic opportunity for progression as the business continues to scale.

You'd be reporting to a charismatic and talented Head of Investment and working alongside 2 other analysts. You'll have responsibility over your own projects and play an integral and exciting role in the "greenlighting" of high-end TV and Film projects with major talent and broadcasters. There is opportunity to take on further responsibility for projects as you grow with the business, so project management skills are favoured and would support progression over time.

The Duties:

  • Partner with the investment team to support on all aspects of deals including financial, legal and production agreements.
  • Review term sheets and commercial agreements.
  • Monitor production budgets and cashflows.
  • Building models to analyse investment returns.
  • Identify and drive improvements and efficiencies.
  • Reporting on the performance of current investments to shareholders.
  • Ad-hoc duties to support the CFO and Investment Director.

What we need to see (essential):

  • Background within Corporate Finance, M&A or Investment Banking
  • Strong ability of financial modelling (building from scratch)
  • Excel proficiency
  • A strong passion for the TV and Film industry

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 plus 30% bonus and generous benefits

Working Pattern: 4 days in-office, 1 day WFH (with option to up to 2 days remote/work-from home over time)
