Our client is a national distributor of Fire Alarm and Ancillary Equipment.

Due to continued business growth and sales success, we are looking to recruit a proactive internal sales professional to ensure high levels of customer service are maintained.

Working from their Fordingbridge, Hampshire premises they stock and sell an extensive stock portfolio, and they distribute on behalf of over 50 major manufacturers. The product list includes everything from fire alarms to emergency lighting to fire cable.

We are looking for a proactive and ambitious internal sales person with the ability to nurture strong business relationships and maximise on sales opportunities. You will manage up to 200 accounts and ensure that you provide "first class" customer service.

Product knowledge is not essential but the determination to be a strong team player in the sales department and the ability to keep the customer happy is essential.

Responsibilities will include:

• Proactively maintaining existing business and maximising on new sales opportunities.

Advising on product lines, product training will be given.

• Preparing customer quotations

• Updating customer terms

• Progressing orders - promoting special deals, Placing orders with suppliers, chasing purchase orders

• Use of computer system including

* Quotations, enquiries, picking notes, back orders

Skills Required

Strong communication skills (written and oral)

Computer literate (inc. Microsoft Office)

Efficient

A hard working polite team player.

A self-motivated person who understands the importance of getting the job done and/or responding to the customer as promised, and on time.

Punctual, positive with a friendly "can do" attitude.

A good listener who is keen to learn, develop new skills and "get on" in the business.

Thoughtful and resourceful, someone who enjoys solving problems.

Generous salary plus profit share

Hours 8.30 - 5.30 pm Monday - Friday (no weekends)
