Internal Communications Officer
Reed Marketing and Creative are looking for an Internal Communications Officer, where you will play a pivotal role in driving employee advocacy and engagement for a centrally based Bristol client. You will be responsible for delivering effective communication of corporate information to staff and stakeholders, supporting our culture of inclusive and impactful two-way communication. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about storytelling and building strong relationships across an organisation. Please note that this role is temporary with a 1 - 3 month contract.
Day to day of the role:- Collaborate with various teams to create and deliver effective internal communications and engagement plans.
- Take ownership of the delivery, engagement, and feedback mechanisms for a growing and dispersed workforce.
- Deliver regular, first-class communications for all staff through a range of channels, ensuring accessibility, clarity, and consistency of messages.
- Build and maintain internal communications networks, understanding the communication needs within the business
- Maintain and evolve our intranet, collaborating with content owners to ensure clarity and audience focus.
- Work with the wider communications team to support campaigns.
- Monitor the intranet inbox, providing timely, professional, and friendly support.
- Understanding of digital technologies used in internal communications.
- Knowledge of user experience principles.
- Ability to tailor communication style to specific audience needs.
- High level of oral and written communication skills with strong editing and proofreading abilities.
- Experience advising senior managers on internal communications challenges.
- Excellent spelling and grammar.
- Experience in developing or contributing to internal communications strategies.
- Experience writing for a variety of audiences.
