Role Overview

As an Internal Account Manager with us, you will take the reins as the primary commercial point of contact for a substantial portfolio of 80+ customers to lead the retention and expansion of this valuable customer base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain customer service standards for assigned portfolios, coordinating corrective action when needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide consistent support to customers.
  • Review performance against client contract terms, making improvement recommendations.
  • Coordinate the delivery of agreed targets (e.g. CNR, cash, volume & EBIT) within your portfolio.
  • Develop and maintain the sales plan with the line manager.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers, updating CRM contact details.
  • Educate customers on Whist Group services and ensure contractual standards are met.
  • Provide accurate internal reports and contribute to contractual negotiations.
  • Provide support to customers outside the defined portfolio base, as and when required.
  • Effectively work with the relevant software (e.g. Microsoft/CRM/WCMS/Customer Portal) and provide related reports as required.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, project a professional company image, and act in accordance with the relevant industry code of practice.
  • Support the Team Manager and Sales Director as required.

Additional Information

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:30, with hybrid working opportunities. The role will require extensive use of a telephone, face-to-face communication and occasional business travel.

There is a regular requirement for sitting for extended periods of time.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to adapt communication style, amount, and format based on audience.

  • Able to prioritise and coordinate multiple work requirements to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers, and clients.
  • Able to understand and empathise with customer needs whilst balancing their needs with those of the company.
Desirable Skills

A-Level standard or equivalent.
