Interim Systems Accountant

Mitchell Adam are working alongside an established local council to source Systems Accountant To support the Finance Business Partner and the assistant Finance Business Partner in delivering an effective and efficient Corporate Accountancy function.

You will be a qualified or currently studying accountant ideally with a good knowledge of IFRS or the regulatory reporting environment within which SMBC operates. A successful candidate will have excellent Excel skills and experience of working with at least one other local authority in the implementation of the oracle cloud financials, preferably as a systems accountant/systems administrator background.

Ideally You will;

• Be a qualified or part qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA) with experience working within the public sector.
• Have an excellent technical accounting background with the technical ability to pull together a set of accounts.
• Demonstrate the ability to implement new finance systems and take ownership of ongoing process improvements to support the ever changing environment.
• Demonstrate great presentation skills with the ability to present information clearly and concisely to senior stakeholder both in and outside of the business.
