Interim Senior PMO - Materials Management

Protiviti - a global management consulting firm are seeking a talented PMO (Project Management Office) professional with specialised knowledge in materials management within to support our leading construction client. The successful candidate will play a critical role in overseeing project management processes, optimising resource utilisation, enhancing efficiency, reducing costs and improving overall service delivery. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse and challenging construction projects while collaborating with a team of passionate professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain project management standards, processes, and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency across all construction projects.
  • Develop and implement materials management strategies to optimise inventory levels, procurement processes, and material utilisation.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to forecast material requirements and ensure timely delivery to project sites.
  • Monitor material budgets, track expenditures, and identify opportunities for cost optimisation and savings.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to negotiate contracts, secure competitive pricing, and maintain positive relationships.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams on best practices for materials management and project execution.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working in a PMO role with a focus on materials management.
  • Proficiency in materials planning, procurement, inventory management, and logistics.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capability to collaborate across various teams and stakeholders.
