Interim Senior Accounting SME at Global Fintech Payments Client

Protiviti - the global management consulting firm are currently seeking a dynamic Accounting SME to join our global fintech clients within the payments industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data, providing insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance.
2. Month-End Closing: Ensure accurate and timely month-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
3. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and monitor budgets and forecasts, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
4. SAP Expertise: Utilise your proficiency in SAP to streamline financial processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
5. Audit Support: Assist in audit preparation and liaise with auditors to address queries and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
6. Ad Hoc Projects: Take ownership of special projects as assigned, leveraging your expertise to drive strategic initiatives and process improvements.

Requirements:

• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, etc.) preferred.
• Extensive experience in accounting roles, preferably within the fintech or payments industry.
• Proficiency in SAP.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• 2/3 days per week based at Waterloo office.
