£650 per day

You will be joining a leading independent technology and services provider, trusted by large corporate and public sector organisations. They are a responsible business that believes in winning together for our people and our planet. They help their customers to Source, Transform and Manage their technology infrastructure to deliver digital transformation, enabling people and their business. As such, they are now urgently seeking an experienced Interim SC Cleared Solutions Architect.

Your new role

You are expected to have a deep understanding of Oracle database technology, spanning multiple versions, and demonstrated by prior experience in administration or consultation. Your knowledge should encompass standalone, virtualised, and clustered environments. You should be capable of technical solution design, particularly in designing and configuring high availability and disaster recovery scenarios. A security-first mindset, in line with CIS Benchmarks, is crucial. You should also be adept at scalability planning, database maintenance and operations, encryption, and testing. These skills are essential for ensuring the robust and secure operation of Oracle databases.

What you need to succeed

You will need to have proven experience in Oracle Database design and build, along with a broad understanding of storage (including replication), networking, Active Directory, and server technologies (including virtualisation). You should have the demonstrated ability to present formal training to a number of delegates and/or have published technical Oracle articles in any format (blog, white paper, internal training documentation etc.). You should be able to engage in IT discussions related to availability, agility, business value, security management, disaster recovery, and data protection. An awareness of other database technologies (SQL Server) is also required. You should be fluent in PL/SQL and have experience deploying Oracle Database for Teamcenter and SAP. Accreditations in Oracle Database versions 19c & 18c are also expected. ACTIVE SC CLEARANCE IS ESSENTIAL FOR THIS ROLE.
