Role: Procurement Officer

Rate: £400 - £500 p/d

Location: Stafford

Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting a Procurement Officer to join a Public Sector organisation in Staffordshire on a temporary basis.

Role:

  • Undertake end to end tender processes in accordance with Contract Procedure Rules
  • Provide specialist procurement advice to a range of stakeholders whilst mentoring junior staff members.
  • Liaise with stakeholders of all levels on a regular basis to ensure that procurement plans are in place and adhered to
  • Providing advice, guidance, and support on small value procurement to enable services to successfully procure goods and services.
  • Support the Procurement Manager by proactively resolving problems and identifying new and innovative solutions which meet the needs of users.
  • Ensure a high level of procurement and market intelligence in order to implement best procurement practice.
  • To provide and deliver contract performance management meetings.
  • To analyse framework agreements and collaboration arrangements detailing benefits and issues in relation to the needs of the organisations, providing expert advice to which procurement route is most viable.
  • Ideally has experience with tendering under the works regulations/threshold and the undertaking of construction projects.

Person:

  • Strong understanding of Public Contract Regulations
  • Familiar with JCT Contracts
  • Managing procurement contracts
  • End to end tendering experience
  • Familiar with category related procurement strategies
  • Great IT, written and verbal communication skills
