We are currently working with a leading University to recruit for an Interim Payroll Officer.

The role would suit a someone who has previous experience within Payroll as well as has knowledge of Teachers Pension. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who would like to start work ASAP but who is also interested in permanent opportunities down the line.

Day to day duties:

  • Process new starters and leavers forms
  • Ensure authorisation on all payroll documentation
  • Prepare and upload monthly data including P45s
  • Run payroll reports
  • Ensure employee pensions are set up correctly on the system
  • Analysed payroll system reports to ensure all timesheets have been paid correctly
  • Maintain all deductions on the payroll system

Essential criteria:

  • Experience working within a large Payroll department
  • Confident carrying out full gross to net manual calculations
  • Experience of teachers pension
