Interim Operations Finance Business Partner

Currently recruiting for a large PE backed manufacturing business for the appointment of an Operations Finance Business Partner for a 3-6 month period due to heavy workload and M&A activity. This role will report to the Divisional Finance Director with a dotted line into the Operations Director and will be based on site in Hull/Doncaster - the main aim of this is to drive efficiencies and performance in particular across Ops, Commercial and Manufacturing.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Responsible for a large Site Prime Cost Variances (PCV's) - Raw Materials, Ingredients, Packaging & Direct Labour.
  • Presenting the Weekly P&L to the CEO, CFO and other key stakeholders
  • Finance Lead on Stock and NPD projects
  • Working with the Site Director to raise CAPEX Projects for approval and track expenditure/payback.
  • High volume of product costing, raw material analysis and wastage reports
  • Working with the Ops team to focus on driving down rejects and stock write off
  • Development of the Site Finance team - new systems (SAP), coaching, recruitment etc.

It is very important that the successful candidate has site manufacturing (FMCG/Food) experience and is comfortable being on the 'shop floor' getting into the detail and working with the operations team on a day to day basis. Must be available immediately due to the urgent nature of this role.
