An opportunity has arisen for an Interim Management Accountant to join a fast-paced environment on a 3-month contract. This role will suit an individual who thrives in a collaborative setting, with a strong commitment to delivering effective cost management and control throughout the business. They will have the chance to work with Senior Managers and Cost Centre holders, ensuring accurate budgeting, reporting, and analysis. The role will be based on site 5 days a week in Derby.

As an Interim Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Financial Controller in delivering effective cost management across all facets of the business. You will be instrumental in assisting with monthly, quarterly forecasts as well as annual budgeting processes. Your ability to work collaboratively with Senior Managers and Cost Centre holders will be key in ensuring accurate budgeting, reporting, and analysis.

What you will do:

* Support the Financial Controller in delivering effective cost management and control throughout the business
* Assist with monthly, quarterly forecast and annual budgeting process and submission into the Group
* Work closely with Senior Managers and Cost Centre holders to ensure accurate budgeting, accurate reporting, supported by analysis and KPI's
* Challenge deviations effectively where they exist
* Supervise Purchase Ledger team, including ageing improvement and improvement in invoice coding
* Support Group Treasury Management process through timely and realistic contribution into the 6 weeks forward looking Cashflow forecasting
* Collaborate closely with IT to ensure alignment of ERP and BI Tool
* Develop and manage KPIs for areas within your control


What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Interim Management Accountant position is ACCA/CIMA qualified, however, strong QBE Accountants will also be considered. You bring along experience of interacting with auditors and other advisors, demonstrating excellent attention to detail. Your analytical skills and advanced problem-solving abilities will be crucial in this role. You possess a deep understanding of accounting terms and concepts, business strategy and methodology. Your strategic thinking, integrity, honesty, and in-depth knowledge of financial regulations and legislation will set you apart.

* ACCA/ CIMA Qualified or Qualified by Experience
