Resourcery Group are looking for an experienced accountant with strong costing experience for our manufacturing client. This is a temporary role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. This is a full time role which is site based initially 4 days per week in the early days of the role with the potential to drop to 3 once you are up to speed with the business.

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our client's team. The Cost Accountant will be responsible for analysing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights to assist in decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and possess excellent analytical skills.

Duties:
- Analyse cost variances and provide explanations for any discrepancies
- Prepare and maintain cost accounting records and reports
- Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy of cost data
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop cost control measures
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Monitor stock/inventory levels and reconcile any discrepancies
- Perform month-end closing activities related to cost accounting
- Provide support during external audits

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles

- CIMA/ACCA/ACA/QBE accountant
- Proficiency in ERP systems ideally
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Solid Excel skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
