Interim Management Accountant 
6 month Fixed Term Contract
Hull - Office Based
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum

We're in search of an Interim Management Accountant to work with our client in Hull on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract to support with a busy period reporting directly to the Financial Controller. The successful candidate will be able to step in to a busy finance function and be able to hit the ground running producing monthly management accounts and be available to start on short notice. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare timely and accurate sales reports for local and Group management.
  • Compile weekly outlook data to forecast P&L for the Division.
  • Generate daily stock reports and collate manufacturing KPI & panel production data.
  • Manage fixed asset register & capex requests.
  • Produce month-end reporting pack for review by FC & FD.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Input actuals accurately into department budget models with variance analysis.
  • Gather data for 2023 R&D tax claim.
  • Analyze VAT recoverable on expenses claimed/not reclaimed.
  • Perform full fixed asset verification and review of fixed asset register.
  • Fulfill any other ad-hoc duties as required

Candidate Requirements:

  • Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years proven experience in a similar Management Accountant role.
  • Immediate availability or short notice period.
