JOB SUMMARY:

Provide the strategic and operational leadership to achieve excellence in the delivery of repairs service for residents, ensure that resources are delivering value for money outcomes.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

Support the review of a new repairs organisational structure and operating model

Provide effective leadership to ensure that the procurement, quality and performance of contractors is at the highest standard for our residents

Meaningfully engage with residents to improve services, reduce costs and develop neighbourhoods where people enjoy and want to live

Create a culture of performance and budget management where there is a direct link between costs, excellent services and right first time repairs

Drive down the costs and increase satisfaction in the services provided

Lead on the streamlining of business processes and systems across the repairs service, including digital to drive efficiencies in service delivery to residents

Meet the diverse needs of the residents and staff and promote equality in the workplace and wider community

Delivering Business Plan objectives

Promotion of the organisational change culture

To innovate and keep abreast of new service delivery opportunities using strong knowledge and information relating to customer insight

Participate and report on the Out of Hours service for repairs

Essential criteria

  • Highly experienced, inspiring and visible leader with a strategic management track record of motivating and leading teams to achieve the best through a strong performance management culture
  • Proven experience of leading a property-based customer-facing service
  • A strong commitment to customer service and overall service excellence. Able to evidence experience of managing a service that is highly regarded by its customers and stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to bring clarity at all times and articulate a clear narrative for the organisation to a range of audiences
  • Able to evidence building successful relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Experience of managing successful business change and managing the delivery through others
  • Able to develop and manage budgets to bring commercial knowledge and awareness to the role to improve costs and bring about real value for money savings
  • Managing joint partnering with contractors in a way that meets commercial considerations and safeguards high levels of customer satisfaction.
