Interim German Speaking Financial Controller

Global Accounting Network are partnering with a luxury retail client who are going through a very exciting period of change and require a German speaking interim Financial Controller to join for an initial 6 month contract.

As the Financial Controller, this position will report into the CFO and be incredibly hands on in overseeing and delivering all audit and tax functions as well as analysing and reporting on financial performance.

Main responsibilities:

• Production of monthly consolidated financial reports ensuring compliance according to HGB standards
• Preparation of the annual financial statements for the audit
• Be the point of contact for auditors and ensure a smooth process
• Partner with the German finance function to ensure regional tax and financial planning is completed
• Develop best in class processes for finance and accounting, including accounting polices
• Ad hoc finance & accounting tasks

Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Accountant
• MUST speak German
• MUST have HGB accounting knowledge
• Very strong technical accounting and year end experience
