Interim Financial Controller (6-months) | Fintech Startup | London | Outside IR35

The Role

Our client is working on an exciting new project and is looking for an Interim Financial Controller for a 6-month period with the potential to go permanent. This position would sit Outside IR35.

The Financial Controller will work closely with the CEO, aiding the strategic planning processes through producing financial forecasts, undergoing commercial analysis and business planning, amongst a variety of other tasks. Due to the exciting expansion plans of the CEO, this role offers a unique responsibility for aiding the growth process within the business allowing the selected candidate invaluable experience and insight.

With our client's annual growth rate of 30%, our ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and will comfortably adapt to change and growth. With a collaborative and supportive team by your side, every day will be different; your Monday may involve fundraising for an exciting new project whereas Thursday may present an opportunity to meet up with the R&D team to discuss budgets and forecasts for upcoming investments.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the production of monthly management accounts
• Develop and implement Forecasting, Planning and Budgeting processes (FP&A)
• Improve the financial models to support expansion
• Finance Business Partner to R&D, Project and Tech teams as well as the Leadership Team
• Production of Investor Reporting
• Improve and implement robust financial controls to adapt to the rapid expansion
• Continuous process improvement and system implementation to support the business as it grows

Required Experience

• ACA or ACCA or CIMA Qualified
• Excellent communication skills
• Demonstratable process improvement experience (in the FP&A space)
• Commercially Astute
• Experience working in a fintech business (Startup / Scaleup)
• Ambitious and Passionate about being part of a scale-up

Preferred Experience

• Minimum 3 years' industry experience (ideally within a start-up/SME/Medium-sized business or with a real desire to work in a start-up)

Day Rate: £450 to £550 per day

Start date: ASAP

Duration: 6 months (Possibility of extending)
