Interim Financial Accountant | Sustainable Engineering Scale-Up | London

The Client

Harmonic are delighted to working with a fast scaling, sustainability focused engineering scale-up who are looking to bring in an Interim Financial Accountant for a period of 9-months, with the potential to be extended to 12 months. Our client is looking for a Qualified Accountant to support their experienced Finance Director with the day-to-day management of the finance function for the £15m turnover business, which is scaling quickly YOY.

Based out of their London office, they are offering a flexible working arrangement which can be adapted to suit the successful candidate. With fast paced yet fun work environment, they are looking for someone who is looking to buy into the culture and support them during a continued period of fast growth.

The Role

Reporting Directly into their Finance Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the completion of the audit as well as preparing monthly, quarterly and annual statements. Aside from this, the successful candidate must be versatile and able to own the cashflow reports, VAT returns, month end close, revenue recognition, and monitoring of financial data.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Statutory Accounts for the audit.
• Be the point of contact for external auditors.
• Prepare VAT returns.
• Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, & annual statements.
• Budget & Cashflow reports.
• Revenue recognition and management of cashflow

Essential Experience

• Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or Qualified by Experience (QBE)
• Extremely smart with excellent communication skills.
• A strong background in preparing Statutory Accounts.
• Incredibly ambitious with a desire to continue learning.
• Ability to be adaptable and take on a wide range of responsibilities.
• Available Immediately.

Bonus Experience

• Experience within an Engineering, construction, architecture, or similar business.

Salary: £50,000-£60,000 pro rata.

Location: London (Hybrid)

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Length: 9 Months (potential to be extended to 12 months)
