Salary: £550-£650 per day (Inside IR35)

Location: South West, Hybrid

About the Job:

As the Finance Lead for SAP and SuccessFactors implementation, you'll play a crucial role in assuring seamless in-employment experiences for all users and optimise data accuracy and ERP adoption. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Finance workstream, manage a dedicated team, and collaborate with stakeholders to shape the future of the council's finance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Finance workstream, ensuring team development, effective communication with other workstreams, and adherence to governance structures.
  • Translate the Finance strategy into SAP and collaborate with the Procurement Lead for a cohesive P2P approach.
  • Partner with Finance and related functions to define and deliver well-defined Finance processes aligned with organisational needs.
  • Assure the design solution integrity, functionality, and alignment with Finance strategy and program workstreams.
  • Develop and deliver the ERP integration strategy for Finance, ensuring compatibility and a future roadmap.
  • Collaborate with the IT workstream to establish user roles meeting security needs, policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Leverage the ERP platform for Finance reporting and analytics, shape analytical tools, and manage future reporting development.
  • Optimise manager and employee self-service for motivated user groups through adoption.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for learning and training materials in collaboration with the Change Management team.
  • Manage all ERP lifecycle deliverables for Finance, including requirements, gap analysis, architecture documentation, migration, testing, and risk management.

Experience:

  • Strong experience with SAP partner products ideally within local government
  • Strong SAP product knowledge in Finance and Procurement.
  • Finance professional qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Leadership in Finance change within a complex environment.
  • Designed and implemented finance processes.
  • Led and developed team members.
  • Finance process knowledge and awareness of industry best practices.
  • Strong communication skills for Programme Board and stakeholder engagement.
  • Driven change from an end-user perspective.
