This Interim Building Safety Manager role in the public sector, based in the South West, requires a skilled professional with a strong focus on building safety regulations and property management. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all properties meet the highest safety standards.

Description

  • Ensure all properties comply with necessary building safety regulations
  • Oversee and manage all safety-related issues within the property department
  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections
  • Lead a team of safety officers and delegate tasks as necessary
  • Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including residents and local authorities
  • Manage and coordinate any necessary safety training for staff
  • Prepare regular reports on safety performance and initiatives

Profile

A successful Interim Building Safety Manager should have:

  • A thorough understanding of building safety regulations
  • Clear understanding of legislation related to fire safety in complex environments.
  • Minimum of three/ five years related experience in managing building risks. Preferably in a Building Safety or Fire Risk Assessment role previously.
  • Experience of effectively collaborating with external partners / stakeholders in order to negotiate effective management of High Rise Residential Building (HRRB).
  • Experience in property management
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Proactive approach in identifying and resolving safety issues
