Interim Accountant

Your new company
You will be working with a public sector business who are a market leader in their space. They have had continuous growth and with exciting projects in the pipeline, it has meant they can now add headcount - this role will have a daily rate between £250 - £300 and have the possibility of becoming permanent.

Your new role
As an Interim Accountant joining this team, you will focus on managing month-end journals (accruals, prepayments), closing the books, review against budget, month-end reporting to budget holders - variance analysis and commentary, business partnering/monthly reviews with budget holders - advising on commercial/financial matters, budget management/forecasting, and overseeing the purchase ledger.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or QBE or Equivalent), with a strong background in management accounts, you will have experience partnering with stakeholders at varying levels, understanding of basic fundamentals at a transactional level - journals, accruals, prepayments etc, exceptional attention to detail, and a logical/methodical way of working, along with fantastic communication skills and organisational skills.
