Integrated Transport Unit Fleet Manager

Key Responsibilities:

As the Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing strategic plans for the management and maintenance of the transportation fleet
• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the fleet, including vehicle scheduling, maintenance, and repairs
• Managing fleet budgets and expenditure, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising service quality
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure the availability and reliability of vehicles
• Implementing and monitoring safety procedures and compliance with regulations to ensure the safety of drivers and passengers
• Analysing fleet performance data and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

Experience and Skills Required:

To excel in this role, you should have:

• HGV Driving Licence
• Must hold a Certificate of Professional Compitence in Road Transport Operations (HGV), and must be aware of all legislation affecting road transport operations. An awareness and understanding of PSV legislation is essential
• Previous experience in fleet management or a similar role, preferably within the transportation sector
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team effectively
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving issues
• Sound knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with diverse stakeholders
