 Damage, Credit Hire and Intervention Team salary range ( £24K - £30K)

We have an exciting new opportunity to join our specialist Commercial Motor Claims Department in  Surrey.

Due to our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Damage, Credit Hire and Intervention Handler to manage a portfolio of third party and accidental damage claims. As a Damage, Credit Hire and Intervention, you will proactively manage a caseload of claims making liability enquires, handling the AD and TP side of the claim.

Location: Carshalton, Surrey

Working hours: 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday 9.00-17.30

Salary: Negotiable, dependant on experience

What you will be doing:

 Proactive management approach to handle an allocation of files,

 Maintaining strong diary management.

 Ensuring your portfolio is realistically and accurately reserved in line with best practice and the earliest opportunity and referring those highlighted as exceeding authority.

 Understand when to utilise external suppliers to ensure the best outcome for the business with minimal claims spend.

 Maintain own technical knowledge through training.

 Directly reporting to the Assistant Claims Manager.

What we’re looking for:

 At least 2 years’ experience in handling AD and TP claims in the Motor Insurance Industry.

 Strong, decisive, and confident communicator

 Self-motivated individual who can also mentor less experienced members of the team.

 Driven and enthusiastic - meets or exceeds targets.

 Accurate with a high level of attention to detail.
