Grant Thornton’s Insurance Accounting Advisory team specialises in helping clients with technical accounting and financial reporting issues, the implementation of IFRS/UK GAAP accounting standards, and conversions.

A look into the role

As a Insurance Accounting Adviser within our Insurance Accounting Advisory team, you will:

  • Work with insurance clients and contribute to the delivery of solutions and value added advice on complex accounting issues, such as support on IFRS 17/9 implementation.
  • Responsible for engagement planning and management on day-to-day basis including assessment of engagement risks, undertaking analyses, and delivering and documenting conclusions.
  • Act as the day-to-day lead on client engagement, managing small teams when required.

Knowing you’re right for us

Joining us as Insurance Accounting Adviser , the minimum criteria you’ll need is a professional qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA or CIPFA) with strong technical accounting experience in the insurance sector and experience of IFRS (ideally IFRS 17). It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way.

  • Experience in technical accounting under IFRS and UK GAAP and delivery of finance change programmes for insurance companies.
