Responsible for performing a range of scheduled maintenance tasks combining calibrations and inspections on all items of electrical and electronic process equipment in accordance with site procedures, as well as completion and processing of associated documentation.

  • To address faults and breakdowns in a safe, orderly and timely manner.
  • Perform all scheduled instrument electrical services within maintenance system.
  • Instrument - Calibrations of all instrument types, loop tests, alarm tests etc.
  • Electrical - Motor inspections, lighting examinations, circuit tests.
  • Monitor service and maintain all utilities and services from an instrument electrical perspective.
  • Perform all regulatory and statutory system tests including fire and sprinkler systems as required.
  • Make prompt and effective unscheduled repairs and fault diagnosis in line with production demands.
  • Attend all relevant training and study sessions as required.
  • Perform isolations and carry out work in accordance with PTW system.
  • Completion of other duties as and when required to fulfil the workload of the department.
  • To participate in both 'in house' and external training sessions, aimed at improving knowledge and understanding within the areas of responsibility.
  • To participate in a variety of interdepartmental activities which may affect and relate to the Maintenance Department.

Required skills

  • CompEX certified
  • Experience as an electrical technician
  • Chemical / Pharma experience
