Job Title: Installations Engineer (Construction Sector)

Location: Newport (Working away from home)

Salary: £29,120 base salary however £40,000 a year is the average with overtime

Hours: Full time. Monday - Friday 7:30am-4:30pm core hours but you will mainly work extra hours averaging 50 hours a week

Here at The Recruitment Co we are currently recruiting a Installations Engineer (Construction Sector) to work for a company based in Newport on a full time permanent contract.
You will be working fixing and installing petrol pumps and general maintenance on forecourts.

Main job roles:

• Install fuel installations to the specified standard
• Ensure company vehicle is fully stocked with sufficient parts and tools to undertake duties as required
• Regularly check tools, and equipment to make sure they are in good working order and sufficient to carry out the job in hand
• Maintain an excellent standard of Health and Safety at all times
• Ensure the company vehicle is driven safely and courteously at all times
• Any other duties that are necessary in line with the requirements of the job and the objectives of the organisation.
• To complete job sheets, clearance certificates, timesheets and any other paperwork as required by the company accurately and at the completion of the job, and to forward them to the office on a timely basis
• To carry out weekly / daily check as requested to the Company vehicle, and to report any faults found to your line manager
• To maintain accurate records for mileage and fuel used purchased externally or via internal fuel tank.

Required Experience

• Previous experience Civils work is essential
• Full driving license
• Ideally some experience in > Petrol pump exchanges> Grade changes> Drainage, Aco channel and man chamber repairs & exchanges > Vapour recovery checks > Accident damage repair > Installation of tank gauges, fuel tanks, petrol forecourt equipment
