Install Engineer

Salary - £34,000 - £50,000 (OTE)

Location - Cardiff

Our client is looking for a Fire and Security Installation Engineer to deliver high quality contracts to a range of commercial clients. They are looking for an experienced engineer to join their team in Cardiff to cover works on a nationwide basis.

Fire and Security Engineer Position Overview

• Installing and configuring equipment such as fire alarm panels, smoke detectors, security cameras, and access control panels.
• Performing routine maintenance tasks, inspections, and tests on fire and security systems.
• Troubleshooting issues with systems and performing necessary repairs or replacements.
• Interacting with clients to understand their needs and provide guidance on system usage.
• Maintaining accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and codes.

Fire and Security Engineer Position Requirements

• Knowledge of, and training in, security systems including Paxton, Honeywell, Texecom, Bosch, Hikvision (desirable).
• Track record of installation, commissioning and repair of intruder alarm, CCTV, access control, fire alarm, and audio and door entry systems; including service visits.
• Proven delivery across the project life cycle to manage scope of works, drawings, installations, test and commissioning, and client handover.
• Ability to produce high quality commissioning and handover documentation to meet quality and client satisfaction standards.
• 5 years min experience incl. adhering to British, NSI (NACOSS), and BAFE standards.
• Valid ECS Card, IPAF and PASMA are preferred but not essential.
• Working at heights.
• Full UK driving licence.
