A small but successful injection mould tool making company based in Essex who specialise in the design & manufacturing of mould tools for various industry sectors including Aerospace & Automotive, are looking for a skilled Toolmaker to join their team of other highly skilled and friendly engineers.

Job Profile
The successful candidate will be a skilled Toolmaker with extensive experience working within a mould toolroom environment working with various machinery. The company is offering competitive pay with genuine opportunities for progression for the right candidate. The position has come about due to continued growth in both customer base and orders. The workload will be interesting and varied producing small to medium batches.

Duties:

• Manufacture new injection mould tools from technical drawings and 3D cad data to a high level of workmanship in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
• Operating conventional mills, lathes, surface and cylindrical grinders, spark and wire erosion machines, fitting, and welding.
• CNC milling experience would be an advantage but not essential.
• Reading technical drawings and machining mould tool components, jigs, and fixtures.
• Repairing and improving mould tools.

Skills & Attributes:

• Must be confident using all manual workshop machinery including Lathes, Mills and Grinding machines.
• Experience with Injection Mould Toolmaking is essential.

Hours:

• 40 hrs per week
