Infrastructure Engineer

My client is a global logistics company based in Kent just by London is in search of a talented Infrastructure Engineer to join the team of 6 existing infrastructure engineers. Daily responsibilities will involve providing 3rd line support of Windows, Linux, VMWare & Citrix involvement in Technical Projects, offering technical assistance, and managing network operations.

Key Technologies

• 3+ years experience working as a technical support engineer or infrastructure engineer
• Experience working with 3rd line support
• Experience in Windows Server 16-22 and windows server patching
• Experience in VMWare
• O365 administration
• Strong experience in DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and Active Directory
• Experience with Azure and Backups

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the operational stability, security, and high availability of core infrastructure platforms, encompassing both Windows and Linux server estates.
• Develop and implement effective technical solutions in accordance with the infrastructure strategy.
• Administer VMware vSphere and manage the infrastructure compute architecture.
• Oversee the administration of O365 and Azure platforms, as well as Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
• Conduct security patching across the infrastructure, adhering to vendor best practices.
• Manage and uphold the virtual desktop infrastructure, specifically Citrix Application and Desktop presentation.
