Infrastructure Engineer – 6-month contract 

My customer requires an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join an existing team for an initial 6-month engagement.

This Infrastructure Engineer will be involved in project delivery as well as BAU support. The ideal Infrastructure Engineer would have strong Wintel experience and strong experience with VMWare and Active Directory.

The infrastructure Engineer would have capabilities of working on projects, BAU work and vulnerability and change management.

Primary day to day responsibilities for the Infrastructure Engineer will include:

  • Experienced Wintel Engineer (Infrastructure Engineer/Server Engineer)
  • Strong experience with Windows Server (2012 - 2022)
  • Windows Server upgrade/migration/decommissioning (2012 - 2022)
  • Previous projects experience decommissioning and deploying new Windows servers.
  • Virtualisation (VMware) – configuration, migration, support
  • Active Directory (AD) – Implement, support and configuration.
  • Citrix XenApp and Desktop, AppSense User and Application Manager.
  • Vulnerability management – Patching and fixing vulnerabilities on servers
  • Powershell scripting
  • Network Fundamentals (Firewall, DNS, DHCP)
  • Change management – minimizing disruptions to IT services while making changes to critical systems.

The infrastructure Engineer would be required to travel to Worthing on a weekly basis (Hybrid).
