Infrastructure Architect - MOD DV

  • Location: Basingstoke

A primary technical partner of the MOD are looking to add to their digital innovation team. This role will be working up around the technical forefront of UK Defence innovation, collaborating with various technical teams and supporting the mission of keeping UK Defence agile and safe.

They are seeking an Infrastructure Architect to join a multi-skilled agile team, encompassing security, service, and management, where teamwork is of utmost importance.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Working collaboratively within a multi-skilled agile team, where cross-training and shared challenges are integral.
  • Reporting to the CTO Lead Architect, the successful candidate will oversee all aspects of technical proposal delivery, ensuring alignment with the client's vision.
  • Facilitating effective interaction with various Fujitsu departments and senior customer stakeholders to foster collaboration throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Managing 3rd parties and change requests to maintain the integrity of the overall architectural solution.

Transferable Skills & Experience:

  • Proficiency in NSX-T and VMWare.
  • Demonstrable client-facing skills at a senior level, with the ability to articulate ideas to senior executives.
  • Extensive knowledge of designing and implementing secure, highly resilient, large-scale infrastructures.
  • Experience working directly with customers to define and elaborate on infrastructure requirements.
  • Successful deployment of production implementations and service transition within project frameworks.
  • Designing infrastructure solutions compliant with security standards.
  • Experience in software development and delivery using Agile Methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows systems administration within an enterprise environment, including configuration change via GPO, Registry, Filesystem, Powershell cmdlets or, WMI, as well as Windows Update and patching mechanisms, including Windows Installer
