Are you experienced in dealing with confidential data requests with extensive knowledge of GDPR legislation looking for your next job opportunity?


ASA are currently working alongside a large-scale client in the public sector who are currently looking for a dedicated individual with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage administration efficiently to join their team as an Information Officer on a hybrid basis for an initial duration of 2-months.

Key Responsibilities:
· Data Subject Requests: Handle a varied workload of subject access requests and other data subject rights. Apply prior experience to triage and respond to requests promptly and accurately.
· Freedom of Information Requests: Support case handlers and stakeholders across the agency, including the executive team, by providing expert advice on releasing information in compliance with legislation.
· Disclosures Requests: Review and respond to requests from law enforcement agencies, ensuring lawful sharing of information to support their functions.
· Manage a diverse caseload, analysing complex information against relevant legislation such as the UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, and FOISA daily.
· Strong understanding and experience with these laws are essential.
· Oversee administrative tasks such as request triaging and coordination, requiring meticulous attention to detail and information management skills.
· Ensure effective stakeholder management, both internally across all levels within the Agency and externally with clients and law enforcement organisations

Requirements:
· Thorough knowledge and previous experience working with UK GDPR, Freedom of Information Scotland Act, and the Data Protection Act 2018.
· Experience in responding to Freedom of Information requests and Data Subject Requests, particularly Subject Access Requests.
· Proficiency in Microsoft packages such as Excel, Word, and Teams.
· Experience with inbox management, case management, and triage of work.
· Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of engaging with internal stakeholders across all levels, from entry grade to Chief Executive level, as well as external stakeholders including clients and law enforcement organisations.
