Information Officer (Libraries) - part time only Saturdays!

Pay: 12.38 per hour, 1 day per week - Saturday, 8.45am-5pm

Length: from 27th April till 28th September

Location: mainly Bloxwich Library, but with flexibility to cover libraries in Darlaston, Willenhall.

Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Walsall Council for part time Information Officer to support the operational requirements of the service on Saturdays within Bloxwich Library, but also in Darlaston and Willenhall as and when required.

Main duties for this role include; support Library Site Manager in delivering an effective frontline service ensuring a consistent standard of customer care, helping with all the enquiries, shelving, computer assistance, ordering stock, goods, services, ensure the excellent presentation of the library and that all information / resources are accurate and up to date at all times.

We are looking for a candidate with ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills in order to interact and communicate with a wide range of customers in a face-to-face environment and via the telephone. Ability to provide information and advice to members of the public, managers and staff from other service areas, demonstrate a calm manner with the ability to deal with difficult situations including persons who may be irate or upset and demonstrate a strong commitment to customer care.

Role is offered on part time basis, Saturdays only from April till end of September.
