We have a great opportunity working as a Industrial Cleaner, based in Burton Latimer,  NN15. Where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our facilities. You'll be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment, adhering to established cleaning protocols and safety standards.

Industrial Cleaner - Role Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough cleaning of production equipment, machinery, and facilities in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
  • Perform cleaning tasks at various heights using appropriate equipment such as ladders, scaffolding, or aerial lifts.
  • Clean and maintain areas requiring access to confined spaces, ensuring proper ventilation and adherence to confined space entry protocols.
  • Utilise specialised cleaning techniques and equipment for the removal of debris, grease, and other contaminants from hard-to-reach areas.
  • Inspect and maintain cleaning equipment and tools to ensure they are in proper working condition and report any malfunctions or deficiencies to the supervisor.
  • Handle and dispose of hazardous materials and waste according to established procedures and regulatory guidelines.
  • Assist in the setup and dismantling of temporary enclosures, scaffolding, and safety barriers as needed for cleaning operations.
  • Follow lockout/tagout procedures and other safety protocols when cleaning equipment to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Document cleaning activities, including areas cleaned, cleaning methods used, and any issues encountered, for record-keeping and compliance purposes.
  • Participate in safety training programs and toolbox talks to stay updated on industry best practices and safety regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to health, safety, and environmental compliance.

Industrial Cleaner – Experience & Attributes:
  • Previous experience in industrial cleaning or janitorial services preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safe use advantageous
  • Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.

Note: Industrial cleaning in a production plant setting will involve exposure to various hazards such as chemicals, noise, heat, and confined spaces. It is essential for industrial cleaners to receive proper training and to strictly adhere to safety protocols to mitigate risks and ensure a safe work environment for themselves and their colleagues.
