Indirect Tax Specialist

We at Savant are privileged to be collaborating with a top multinational pharmaceutical company, renowned for its groundbreaking scientific advancements. They are currently seeking a career-driven Indirect Tax individual to join their exceptional team.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Indirect Tax Compliance Specialist, you will be integral in ensuring the accurate and timely submission of periodic indirect tax compliance obligations for multiple entities and territories. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Compiling and submitting periodic indirect tax returns both in the UK and abroad.
  • Producing and validating the data supporting monthly EC Sales list, One Stop Shop, and Intrastat filing.
  • Maximising input recovery from business expenses and acting as the Sales Tax/VAT point of contact for Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable and Credit Control teams.
  • Reconciling and posting corrections to the VAT ledger and maintaining ERP systems for VAT, including resolving system errors and approving configuration changes.
  • Assisting with indirect tax projects, training stakeholders on VAT-related procedures, and providing support during enquiries and tax audits from local tax authorities.

Essential:
- Part-qualified ATT/ACT/ACA/CIMA/CIT.
- Strong MS Excel skills.
- Highly numerate with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
- Logical, methodical approach to tasks with an eye for detail and accuracy.

Desirable:
- Flexibility, especially during peak periods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to tight deadlines.
